COMPUTER AWARENESS : FUNCTION KEYS
(F1 – F12) Function keys : used to perform special functions depending on the software being used.
ENTER : used to communicate with the end of instruction or Data being keyed in by keyboard.
CAPS LOCK : Used for keying in capitalized alphabets.
Shift : Caps lock off: If pressed simaltanously with aCharacter key, a capitalized alphabet is input.
Ctrl, Alt : Pressed with other keys, they input special messages to the computers.
Backspace : used to erase the character to the left of cursor.
Num : used to activate numeric keys on numeric pad.
Cursor Keys : use to move cursor in direction indicated.
HOME : Brings the cursor to the start of the line.
END : Brings the cursor to end of the line.
